Who we are

S&E Doggy Days is a dog walking business run by Shoni and Ellie. We are responsible for the personal information described here. You can contact us about privacy by emailing hello@sedoggydays.co.uk or using the contact form.

What we collect and why

When you send an enquiry

Your name, email address, phone number (if you give it), your dog's name, breed and age, and your message. We use these to reply and to arrange a meet & greet. We rely on your request: you've asked us to get in touch.

When you become a customer

Your address and how we get into your home, your dog's details including health, behaviour and vet details, your bookings, walk reports (including route maps and photos taken on walks), invoices and payments. We need these to walk your dog safely and to run the service you've asked for. We keep financial records because the law requires it.

We never store key safe codes or alarm codes in our app or on this website. We agree access with you in person.

When you visit this website

This website doesn't use cookies, analytics or advertising trackers, and our fonts are hosted here rather than by Google. Our hosting provider keeps short-term server logs, including IP addresses, to keep the site secure and working.

Who we share it with

  • Netlify, which hosts this website and receives contact form enquiries on our behalf.
  • The service that runs our booking app, which stores customer and booking details on our behalf.
  • Your vet, only if your dog needs care while with us.
  • Our accountant and HMRC, for tax records.

We never sell your information or use it for anyone else's marketing. Some of these providers may store data outside the UK. When they do, they use the legal safeguards UK law requires.

How long we keep it

  • Enquiries that don't lead to walks: deleted within 12 months.
  • Customer details, walk reports and photos: kept while you're a customer, and deleted within 12 months after you leave.
  • Invoices and payment records: kept as long as HMRC requires, currently at least 5 years after the 31 January tax return deadline for that year.

Your rights

You can ask us to:

  • give you a copy of the information we hold about you
  • correct anything that's wrong
  • delete your information, unless we have to keep it by law
  • stop or limit how we use it

Just get in touch. We'll reply within one month and there's no charge.

Complaints

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113.
